The Idea:

Music vids with a torrent of social comedy call young Aussies to “Get Your Hand Off It’ and stop using their mobile when driving

Young audiences are notoriously difficult to communicate road safety messages to. They don’t see the big deal in using their mobile phone when they’re driving. They simply switch off and remove themselves from traumatising messages. Young Australians love music but style and taste is subjective and varied, so we produced three comedic music videos based on the genres of music we knew our audience love. Using rock, hip hop and country, we created a central character to share hilarious stories filled with innuendo that our young audience can relate to and will want to show their friends. We had to present real consequences in a stylistic and playful way. Underlying our comedic executions is an extremely powerful and clear campaign message, when you’re behind the wheel “Get Your Hand Off It”.
