The Idea:

Within the four walls of Facebook, an immersive concept called the ‘House Party’ dispels the myths teens have about Hep C.

Description:

Aussie teens misunderstand Hep C. Shrugged off as ‘The Junkie Disease’, teenagers fuelled by alcohol and a ‘YOLO’ (You Only Live Once) culture weren’t realising the decisions they make in the heat-of-moment will affect them for the rest of their lives. People were invited to enter the party and bring in their own Facebook friends to make their way through a realistic online party environment. The bold video confronted young adults with needles, tattoo guns and razors and asked them, “what would you do?” After the activity 27% of NSW 18-24 year olds agreed with the statement “Hepatitis C is relevant to me.”
